Health and Safety

At Horse Rangers we take health and safety very seriously. The yard can be a dangerous place and horses, like any animal, can be unpredictable. Safety is therefore of the utmost importance.

All visitors must report to the officer in charge on arrival and should also make themselves aware of the safety notices on display.

All senior officers are first aid trained to a minimum of Appointed Person standard by the health and safety executive.

All riders must have their own riding hat which conforms to British Standard BSENI384 or PAS015 (Borrowing of hats is not permitted)

Child Protection

Harwich Horse Rangers have a child protection policy in operation. All of our senior officers are familiar with the policy and have been checked with the Criminal Records Bureau.

The child protection officers are Sonia Murray and Jacqui Perks. Should you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact either Sonia or Jacqui.
